Guns N Posies

So I'm beginning my morning commute to the city for another lovely Friday and I was surprised to catch one of our local radio stations playing two brand new/old songs by none other than Guns and Roses that is slated to be on their new/old album "Chinese Democracy". After hearing it, I wasn't surprised of the mal-acceptance it received immediately after being put on air. They both sounded like they tried to cram too much into the songs. Axel sounded more like Janis Joplin rather than himself. It was simply not that great.
It's a damn shame because I'm sure the world had seen this coming with all the attention this album got throughout the 5+ YEARS it had to saturate in all GnR die-harder's heads. The anticipation and hype for it I feel has made it really hard for this album to even crack the shell of what Gun N Roses used to be.
To be honest, this band shouldn't even be called Guns N Roses anymore. It's not the same fuckin' band! It's Axel and the Newbies or Guns N Posies at best.
At this point, I think Velvet Revolver is winning the battle of whom is better off currently. I understand that it was just two songs, but these two songs should have been amazing. This is just another example that future bands should understand. If it ain't broke...don't fuckin' fix it!!! So what about your differences, if you are making earth shattering hits, put the bullshit aside and be men about it...suck it up because when it's all said and done, I'm pretty damn sure you'll be glad you did.

As for Guns N Roses, I really feel the only salvation for this band is an original line-up reunion. I also feel this will never happen, but hell..I've seen even more wierd shit happen.
